Supports access to some forms of reproductive healthcare
“I support access to essential women's healthcare services that prioritize the health and well-being of both women and their unborn children. This includes access to comprehensive prenatal care, maternal health services and education on reproductive health. While I respect differing viewpoints my focus remains on promoting alternatives to abortion and ensuring resources are available to support women throughout their pregnancies and beyond."
Vincent Borja - Running for Senator (R)
“As a woman and a mother of two children, I am well aware of the importance of access to reproductive healthcare for all women such as: birth control, access to menstrual hygiene products, access to reproductive healthcare education, with focus on pregnancy prevention,as well as access to annual prophylactic care. Having said that, I do not support all abortions. Abortion should not be the preferred contraceptive method, as modern medicine has made some significant advancements in providing women with safer medications for pregnancy prevention. Sexual education is the critical key in reducing unwanted pregnancies. I support abortion as an option only in the following cases: when the mother's life is danger, and in the case of rape, or incest.”
Bistra Mendiola - Running for Senator (R)
“Sensitive issue for sure. I am prolife with abortion under serious circumstances; mother’s health is in danger and may cause death to the mother if the pregnancy is not terminated. In essence only under this condition.”
David Ralph Duenas - Running for Senator (D)
"I am a pro-life candidate who believes in access to some form of birth control but not abortion."
Vic Gaza - Running for Senator (R)
"I wholeheartedly support comprehensive healthcare that ensures the well-being of all our citizens. However, I cannot endorse measures that lead to the ending of life."
